Warning:Replace a toner cartridge while the printer is powered on. Internal parts of the printer can be hot. To avoid possible injury, before you replace a toner cartridge, ensure that the printer is cool.
Open the left cover of the printer.
Before you remove the toner cartridge, lay paper on the floor. This step allows any excess toner to fall on the paper.
Grasp the handle of the toner cartridge.
Pull out the toner cartridge slowly, while holding the bottom of the cartridge.
Dispose of the used toner cartridge as normal office waste or recycle the cartridge.
Remove the new cartridge from the packaging.
Shake the cartridge from side to side to distribute the toner evenly.
Hold the cartridge with the arrow facing up.
Push in the cartridge slowly until it stops.
Close the toner cover. If the cover does not close completely, ensure that the cartridge is locked and is installed in the appropriate orientation.
Caution: Never use a vacuum cleaner to remove spilled toner. Sparks inside the vacuum cleaner can cause a fire or explosion. To remove spilled toner, use a broom, brush, or a cloth moistened with a neutral detergent.
