  1. Configure the Fiery Controller for Smart eSolutions:

    1. Locate the IP Address of the Fiery from a Network Controller Configuration Page. See the Related Content for additional information.

NOTE: If the IP Address is already known, skip to step C.(Open a Web Browser).

    2. Locate the Network Settings section of the configuration and take note of the IP Address.  On most networks, the required address will be the IPv4 address.

    3. Open a Web Browser and enter the IP Address of the Fiery into the Address field, and then press Enter.  The Fiery Webtools Page should now load.

    4. Click on the Configure tab.

    5. Click Launch Configure.

NOTE: If you receive the Java "Do you want to run this application" message, click Run.  If you receive a "Block potentially unsafe components from being run" message, click Don’t Block.

    6. Login as an administrator.  The default username is "Admin".

IMPORTANT: The Fiery documentation may mention “Fiery.1” as the default password. Do not use this password when you log on to the Fiery server for the first time. Instead, print a Fiery Server Configuration page and look for ID in the BIOS Setup section (listed under RIP).  For a stand-alone Fiery server, the default password is listed in the ID field. For the integrated Fiery server, the default password is the first 14 alphanumeric characters listed in the ID field.

Note: If you reinstall the Fiery system software or restore factory default settings, the administrator password will be replaced by “Fiery.1”.  Use “Fiery.1” to log on to the Fiery server and then change the password to prevent unauthorized usage.

    7. Select Network, and then select IPv4 Address.

    8. If Configure IP Address is set to 'Manual', by the Configure DNS Server radio button, select the Manual radio button.

    9. Enter the DNS Primary Server address as per the users Network Administrator.

    10. Enter the DNS Secondary Server address as per the users Network Administrator.

    11. Enter the DNS Suffix if used. This may be the Domain Name. If you are not sure, contact your Network Administrator.

    12. Click on Save.

IMPORTANT: The next step will halt any print jobs being printed through the Fiery.
