Configure Smart eSolutions on Systems with an MS Windows-based FreeFlow Print Server in a Single IP Configuration

NOTE: Single IP Configuration means that the Xerox Color Press connects to the network via the FreeFlow and has a Single IP on the network.

  1. Locate the IP Address of the FreeFlow from a Network Controller Configuration Page. See the Related Content for additional information.

    NOTE: If the IP Address is already known, skip to step C.

  2. Locate the Network Settings section of the Configuration and take note of the IP Address. On most networks, the required address will be the IPv4 address.

  3. Open a Web Browser.

  4. Enter the IP Address of the device in the Address Bar followed by :8082 (for example: 192.168.1.2:8082), then press Enter. The CenterWare Internet Services page opens.

  5. Click on the Properties tab.

  6. If prompted, login as the administrator.

    Note: The default administrator user name is admin. Depending on when the device was manufactured or the software version installed, the default administrator password may be the device serial number or 1111. The user name and password are case sensitive.

  7. On the left, click on SMart eSolutions Setup.

  8. If the Network has a Proxy Server, select Proxy Server.

    NOTE: If the Proxy Server information is unknown, contact a System Administrator.

  9. Under Use Proxy Server, check the Enabled box.

  10. Under Server Name, enter the Hostname or the IP address of the Proxy Server.

  11. Under[Port Number, enter in the Port number of the Proxy Server.

  12. Enter in a Login Name and Password if the Proxy Server requires authentication.

  13. Repeat the same steps for Server Name, Port Number and if a Username/Password is used.

  14. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Apply to save changes.

  15. Next, select Communication Status.

  16. Next to Communication Mode, select Configure.

  17. Next to SMart eSolutions Enablement, check the Enabled box.

  18. Click Apply at the bottom.

  19. Return to the Communication Status screen.

  20. Next to Communication Mode, select Configure.

  21. Click Test XCDG Connection.

  22. If the communication is successful, Smart eSolutions is now working from the device side. If an error occurs, contact Support for assistance.
