Configure Scan to Email Using Office 365 Via CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)

  1. From a computer, open an Internet browser window.
  2. Enter the IP address of the printer in the Address field, and then press Enter on the keyboard. The CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) window will be displayed.

    NOTE: If you do not know the IP Address of the printer you can print a System Configuration Report or speak with your System Administrator.

  3. Click on the Properties tab.
  4. Enter the user name and password in the fields provided, and then click on the Login button.

    NOTE: The default username is admin (case sensitive), and the default password is 1111.

  5. Click on Connectivity to expand the list of options.
  6. Click on Protocols to expand the list.
  7. Click on SMTP Server in the directory tree.
  8. Enter the Office 365 server address smtp.office365.com in the SMTP Server IP Address/ Host Name field.
  9. Enter port number 587 in the Port Number for sending E-mail field.
  10. Select STARTTLS under SMTP - SSL / TLS Communication.
  11. Enter a valid Office365 e-mail address in the Machine’s E-mail Address field.
  12. If necessary, enter the maximum split size in the Maximum Data Size per E-mail field. This may be set from 512 - 20,480 KB. The default setting is 10,240 KB.
  13. If necessary, enter the maximum split count in the Maximum Split Count field. This may be set from 1-500. The default setting is 1.
  14. If necessary, enter the maximum total job size in the Maximum Total Job Size field. This may be set from 512 - 200,000 KB.
  15. If you selected a number other than 1 in step 13, select the required split send method radio button from the Split Send Method section. Available options include:
    • Split into Pages.
    • Split by Data Size.
  16. Select the SMTP AUTH radio button from the Login Credentials for the Machine to access the SMTP Server to send automated e-mails section.
  17. Select System radio button from the Login Credentials for Sending E-mails section.
  18. Enter the login name (to access the email server) in the Login Name field.
  19. Enter the login name’s password in the Password and Retype Password fields.
  20. Click on Apply.
  21. Click on Reboot Machine.
  22. Click OK.
  23. Close the browser window.
