Disconnect the Network Cable, Reset the Printer ,Then Connect the Network Cable Back Into the Printer

  1. Disconnect the network cable from the back of the printer. The image below indicates the port without a cable for clarity.

    Disconnect the network cable from the back of the printer.

  2. Reset the printer with the network cable still disconnected.
    1. Power off the printer using the power switch located on the right front side of the machine under the Control Panel.

    2. Wait until the Touch Screen is blank.
    3. Press the power switch again to power on the printer. Wait for the printer to reach the “Ready” state.

      NOTE: The entire power on process (to power on and complete a self test) takes less than 30 seconds. Certain functions of the printer, such as copying, will be available before other functions.

  3. When the reset is complete, connect the network cable back into the printer, making sure the document and data cables are in the correct position on the back of the printer. If necessary, see the Related Content for additional information.
  4. Try to open CWIS again.
