The printer supports multiple active network connections. To accommodate this, the printer allows you to specify the primary network. If the printer is not connected to the network through the specified primary network, the printer will display an IP address of 0.0.0.0 on the printer's Control Panel and within the Embedded Web Server. The printer may still be on the network, and may still function without issue. If the printer is only connected to one network (wired or wireless), the primary network option should be set to the connected network type.

To Set the Primary Network Correctly From the Control Panel

  1. At the printer control panel, press the Home button.
  2. Touch Device > Connectivity.
  3. Touch Primary Network.
  4. Select either Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
  5. Once selected, the printer will need to restart before the new setting takes effect.
