Isolate Image Quality Issue to Copies Only

When troubleshooting issues with the Copier, isolate the issue by printing a document from a computer in order to determine if the Image Quality defect occurs on prints as well as copies, or on copies only.

Alternatively, if a computer is unavailable or the device is used as a copier only, print an internal device page such as a Configuration Report to see if image quality issue persists. See the Related Content for Additional Information.

  1. If the image quality defect occurs on prints as well as copies, begin troubleshooting for image quality issues within the Xerox device, such as fuser and paper path within the device.

  2. If the issue only occurs on Copies, continue troubleshooting the DADF (Duplex Automatic Document Feeder) and glass area.
