A 900.00 or 900.xx error is displayed on the printer control panel. This issue can occur after powering up a device or while printing, copying, scanning, sending/receiving faxes, or while performing other actions on the device.
These errors could indicate a job, driver, firmware, or hardware related failure.
Note: Isolating the issue to a particular action should be considered first before determining the issue is hardware related.
- Power off and then on the device.
- Power the device off, and isolate the printer by unplugging any network, USB, or fax cables from the device. Turn the device back on.
- If the error goes away: clear out any pending print jobs from any computers that are used with the machine. Refer to Isolate the Problem to a Specific File, Application, or Computer for additional steps.
