Fault Code 900.00, 900.xx: Kernel/Firmware

A 900.00 or 900.xx error is displayed on the printer control panel. This issue can occur after powering up a device or while printing, copying, scanning, sending/receiving faxes, or while performing other actions on the device.

These errors could indicate a job, driver, firmware, or hardware related failure.

Note: Isolating the issue to a particular action should be considered first before determining the issue is hardware related.

  1. Power off and then on the device.
  2. Power the device off, and isolate the printer by unplugging any network, USB, or fax cables from the device. Turn the device back on.
  3. Upgrade the Firmware/Software of the machine. 
  4. Contact support for additional assistance.
