Note: Before solving the problem, print the Print Quality Test Pages. From the control panel, navigate to Settings > Troubleshooting > Print Quality Test Pages. For non-touch-screen printer models, press OK to navigate through the settings.

  1. Check if the printer is using a genuine and supported Xerox toner cartridge.

    Note: If the cartridge is not supported, then install a supported one. Replace the Toner Cartridge.

  2. Print the document. If the file does not print successfully, proceed with step 3.

  3. Depending on your operating system, specify the paper type from the Printing Preferences or Print dialog. 

    • Make sure that the setting matches the paper loaded. For details, refer to Set the Paper Size and Type.

    • You can also change the setting on the printer control panel. Navigate to Settings > Paper > Tray Configuration > Paper Size/Type.

  4. Print the document.

  5. Replace the Drum Cartridge.

  6. If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance.
