Set the Login Method for the Embedded Web Server
Access the Embedded Web Server and login as a System Administrator.
In the Embedded Web Server, click Properties > Login/Permissions/Accounting.
Click Login Methods.
For Control Panel & Website Login Methods, click Edit.
For Website Login, select an option.
Note: Website Login is only available when one of the following authentication methods is enabled for the control panel:Convenience Authentication
Xerox Workplace Cloude
Xerox Secure Access - Unified ID System
Smart Cards
Custom Authenitcation
Click Save.
After you set the login method, the Configuration Settings area on the Login Methods Web page shows the settings available for the authentication method selected. Configure the settings required.
Log out as the administrator when finished.
Setting the Login Method for the Control Panel
Access the Embedded Web Server and login as a System Administrator.
In the Embedded Web Server, click Properties > Login/Permissions/Accounting.
Click Login Methods.
For Control Panel & Website Login Methods, click Edit.
For Control Panel Login, select an option.
If you selected Convenience Authentication or Smart Cards as the authentication method, you can also allow users to log in at the control panel. This option is useful if a user loses a smart card, but must access the device. For Alternate Control Panel Login, select User Name / Password - Validate on the Network.
Click Save.
Note: The first time you select Smart Cards as the authentication method, you are prompted for a Feature Enablement key. The Feature Enablement Key is included in the Common Access Card Enablement Kit.Log out as the administrator when finished.
