Repeating Marks, Spots, Lines, or Voids

Note: Make sure genuine Xerox toner cartridges are being used.  Use of non-Xerox supplies is not recommended. Make sure to use genuine Xerox toner cartridges designed for specific use with this product. Use of other toner cartridges may affect print quality and product reliability.

Try the following:

Print the Repeating Defect Pages and measure the distance between the print defects to determine the cause of the printing problem. 

To Print the Repeating Defects Pages:

  1. At the printer control panel, press the Home button.

  2. Touch Device > Support > Support Pages.

  3. Touch Repeating Defects to print the pages.

  4. To return to the Home screen, press the Home button.

To Determine the Cause of the Printing Problem, Measure the Distance Between the Print Defects. 

If the repeating defects match one of the following distances, replace that item:

  • 95 mm (3.74 in.) - Drum Cartridge

  • 38 mm (1.5 in.) - Drum Cartridge

  • 96 mm (3.78 in.) - Fuser

  • 88 mm (3.46 in.) - Fuser

  • 64 mm (2.52 in.) - Transfer Roller

  • 33 mm (1.30 in.) - Developer Roller; for Service only.  Contact Support for additional assistance.
