Configure the Printer for a Wired Ethernet Connection:

  1. Connect a Catagory 5 or 6 Ethernet Cable to a Switch, Router or Modem connected to the local network.

  2. Connect the other end of the Network cable to the Ethernet jack at the back of the printer.

  3. Power the Printer On.

  4. Assign an IP Address to the Printer or Configure the Printer for use with a DHCP (Automatically assigned) IP Address.

NOTE: It is recommended the Printer be configured with a Static (Non-DHCP) address, or the Printer be given a DHCP Address Reservation on the router as a Printer with an IP Address assigned using DHCP may randomly change over time and will break communication with the print driver. Contact a System Administrator for assistance if required.
