Change the System Administrator Password

IMPORTANT: Xerox recommends that you change the default system administrator password after you configure the printer. Be sure to store the password in a secure location.

Note: If your system administrator does not know or has forgotten the password, contact Support for assistance.

1. In the Embedded Web Server, log in as the administrator. For details, refer to Access the Printer's Embedded Web and Log in as System Administrator.
   

   Note: Depending on when the device was manufactured or the software version installed, the default administrator password may be the device serial number or 1111.

2. Click on Permissions.

3. For User Accounts, click admin.

4. Click Change Password.

5. Enter the old password.

6. Enter the new password, then re-enter the password to verify it.

7. Click OK.
