CentreWare Internet Services is the administration and configuration software installed on the embedded Web server in the printer. It allows you to configure and administer the printer from a Web browser.

CentreWare Internet Services requires:

  • A TCP/IP connection between the printer and the network in Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, or Linux environments.
  • TCP/IP and HTTP enabled in the printer. See the Related Content for additional information.
  • A network-connected computer with a Web browser that supports JavaScript.

Accessing CentreWare Internet Services

  1. From the computer, open an Internet browser application window.
  2. Enter the IP Address of the WorkCentre in the Address field, then press the Enter key on the keyboard. The main CWIS window will be displayed.

NOTE: If necessary, see the Related Content for additional information on How To Find the IP Address.

Login or Logout as Administrator:

Many of the features available within CentreWare Internet Services require an administrator user name and password. The System Administrator user name is admin and the default password is 1111.

Login to CWIS as the Administrator:

Initially you will be logged into CWIS as a general user with no rights to modify anything. When you click on a link or perform a specific action in which the Apply button is required, you will be prompted to login as the Administrator at that time.

After clicking on a link or the Apply button which requires the Administrator login, type: admin in the Username field and then enter the current password in the Password field.

Logout of CWIS as the Administrator:

Close the Internet browser window by clicking on the X, located in the top, right of the window.
