Configure or Modify the Automatic (DHCP) IP Address on the Printer

The printer automatically acquires a network address from a DHCP server by default.

Configuring TCP/IP Settings at the Control Panel

Configuring the IPv4 Network Address for DHCP:

1. Select [Printer] on the Touch Screen.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the [Tools] tab, and then select [Setup].
3. Select [Network & USB].
4. Select [Ethernet].
5. Select [TCP/IP (v4)].
6. Select [On:DHCP].
7. Select [OK].

Configuring the IPv6 Network Address for DHCP:

1. Select [Printer] on the Touch Screen.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the [Tools] tab, and then select [Setup].
3. Select [Network & USB].
4. Select [Ethernet].
5. Select [TCP/IP (v6)].
7. Select [On:DHCP].
8. Select [OK].
9. Select [DHCPv6].
10. Select [Enable DHCPv6].
11. Under Mode, select one of the following:
    • Router
    • Stateful
    • Stateless
12. Select [Apply Now].
13. Select [OK].
