CAUTION: If the CWIS login username or password is lost or forgotten, contact Support to place a Service call.
To Enable or Disable Administrator Login:
IMPORTANT: By default, the Administrator login is disabled. If required, enable the Administrator login username and password.
When login is enabled:
- The username and password are unique, there is not a default assigned by the printer.
- To access CWIS Properties and modify settings the Administrator user must login.
- Access CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS). See the Related Content section for additional information. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
- Click on the [Properties] link.
- If prompted to login, enter the required username and password.
- Scroll down to the Security heading on the left window pane.
- Click on [Administrator Security Settings].
- Select one of the following, depending on the requirement:
- Enable (require) login:
- Add a check mark to the [Enable Administrator Mode] check box.
- Proceed to the step 6 below for the username and password settings.
- Disable login:
- Remove the check mark in the [Enable Administrator Mode] check box.
- Click [Save Changes] to save the current selections.
- Enable (require) login:
To Assign or Modify the Administrator Login:
- Access CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS). See the Related Content section for additional information. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
- Click on the [Properties] link.
- If prompted to login, enter the current required username and password.
- Scroll down to the Security heading on the left window pane.
- Click on [Administrator Security Settings].
- Select one or both of the following, depending on the requirement:
- Enter a name in the Username field.
- Enter a password in the Password, and then re-enter the password in the Verify Password field.
- Click [Save Changes] to save the current selections.
