Verify the Printer Returns to a Ready State and If Necessary, Upgrade the System Software

  1. Verify the printer returns to a ready state. After following the instructions to correct the issue, verify the printer returns to a Ready state. When the printer is in a Ready state, a message "Ready to start a new session" will display on the User Interface.
    • If the printer returns to a Ready state, check the system software version installed on the printer. See the Related Content section for additional information.
    • If the printer does not return to a Ready state, additional troubleshooting is required. Contact support for additional assistance.
  2. Check for updated system software.
    • If the system software version listed on the Xerox website is higher than the version installed on the printer, upgrade the system software. See the Related Content section for additional information.
    • If the system software version listed on the Xerox website is the same version that is currently installed on the printer, additional troubleshooting is required. Contact support for additional assistance.
