Restart / Reboot the Kiosk User Interface (UI) (Touch Screen) (Tablet)

You can perform a soft or hard restart of the kiosk user interface software.

To restart / reboot the User Interface:

  1. If necessary, unlock and open the Front Security Door.

  2. Locate the kiosk plunger switch.  To locate the plunger switch, from the front of the kiosk, reach under the left front of the kiosk user interface panel.

  3. To restart the User Interface, choose an option:
    • Press in and hold the plunger switch for 2 seconds, then release the plunger switch. At the touch screen, touch Restart.  This is a soft reboot.  This restart method is helpful when the touch screen display is hidden.
    • Press in and hold the plunger switch for 10 seconds, then release the plunger switch.  This is a hard reboot.

      The User Interface powers off, then powers on.
  4. Once the User Interface has restarted, if necessary, close and lock the Front Security Door.
