Standard Printer Setup (Windows®)

Standard printer setup and custom printer setup are two methods of installing the print driver.

The following describes how to install the print driver with standard printer setup when the machine is connected to the subnet using TCP/IP as the same as the computer.


Setup Flow Chart

You need to operate with both your computer and the machine. [PC] indicates the operation with your computer, and [Machine] indicates the operation with the machine.

Change the security settings to configure the following procedure.
Make the settings according to the security rules you are using.

[Machine] Checking the Machine's Model Name

  1. The Machine's Model Name is displayed in front side of the control panel.

[Machine] Checking the Machine's IP Address

  1. Press the <Machine Status> button.

  2. Check the machine's IP address on the [Machine Information] screen.


    Important
    • When an IPv6 address is specified, IPv4 address is not displayed.
      Select [System Settings] > [Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Protocol Settings] > [TCP/IP - Network Settings], and then select [Change Settings]. Refer to [IPv4 - IP Address].
  3. Select [Close].

[PC] Downloading the Print Driver

You can get the print driver by either of the following two methods.

  • Install from the Media (Software/Product Manual) provided with the machine
  • Download from our official website. (http://www.fujixerox.com)

[PC] Installing the Print Driver

Standard printer setup and custom printer setup are two methods of installing the print driver.

The following describes how to install the downloaded PCL print driver with standard printer setup when the machine is connected to the subnet using TCP/IP as the same as the computer.

  1. Double-click the downloaded PCL print driver.

  2. Confirm the software license agreement, and click [Yes].

  3. Click [Driver] in [Custom Installation].

  4. Select [I accept the terms of the license agreement], and click [Next].

  5. The machines connected over the same subnet using TCP/IP are listed in the screen. Confirm if the machine's IP address is displayed.

    If the machine is not displayed, refer to "Custom Printer Setup (Windows®) [6928]".

  6. Select the machine, and click [Next].

  7. Confirm if the machine is displayed, and then click [Install].

  8. When the installation is finished, click [Finish].

    When the screen below is displayed, the print driver may not work properly if you only click [Finish]. Restart the computer.

[PC] Sending a Print Job from the Computer

  1. Open the document to print from the application software, and select [Print] from the [File] menu.

    Note
    • The menu names may vary depending on the application software you use.
  2. Select the print driver from [Select Printer].

    Change the settings in [Preferences] if necessary.

  3. Click [Print].
